Agradecimentos / Thanks

Agradeço a Sílvia Paula Jentsch (in memoriam) por ter sido a fonte de minha inspiração em fazer este blog. Quando jovem, Sílvia foi uma entusiasta por letras e meticulosamente completa em buscá-las impressas em revistas e jornais. Muitas delas, Sílvia copiou diretamente de canções que ouvia no rádio ou de discos que havia comprado.

Agradeço também ao amigo Luiz Carlos Amorim por emprestar-me os cinco cadernos de Sílvia (falecida em 2010), compilados de 1961 a 1965 que contêm um enorme número de letras. Assim, veio-me a ideia de publicar as minhas letras favoritas que agora as compartilho com todos vocês, neste blog.

I’d like to thank Silvia Paula Jentsch (in memoriam) for having been the source of my inspiration in doing this blog. Silvia was a lyrics-enthusiast when she was a young adult and was painstakingly thorough in her search for lyrics printed in magazines and newspapers. Sometimes Jentsch herself typed the lyrics she took straight from the radio or records she’d bought.

I'd also like to thank Luiz Carlos Amorim for having lent me the five volumes Silvia compiled from 1961 to 1965. Silvia passed away in 2010 and left a little bit of herself behind in the shape of these five notebooks she filled with myriads of lyrics. As soon as I started leafing through them I thought I'd pick my favourite ones and post them in a blog that I now share with all of you.
